Sacred Scars- Kathleen duey
The second book in the resurrection of magic series that was started by “Skin Hunger” lives up to the hype as a game changing, genre-defying emotional powerhouse. Yes, it takes a while to build, but the pacing works brilliantly with the two storylines teasing out the mysteries of Sadima and the young magicians at their brutal magic school. This is one of the best YA series out there now, and I can’t wait for the conclusion.
